SC 246 Corridor Improvements Project

At this time, the project team is studying the need for pedestrian and bicycle accommodations.

SCDOT retained a project team led by CONSOR Engineering to develop the project. The project team is conducting initial studies of the corridor. Those studies include topographic surveys, subsurface exploration, environmental related studies, and gathering of any other data necessary for the planning and design of the project. On November 11, 2022, SCDOT published the Notice of Eminent Domain in the Greenwood Index–Journal, and the initial field work is underway. The surveyors and other Project Team members may be working periodically on or around your property during typical business hours, Monday through Friday, throughout the duration of the design process. The Project Team’s presence will increase steadily from now until summer of 2024, and then will lessen to occasional site visits for the remainder of 2024.
